HISTORY OF WORLDFEST
The LODŽIE WORLDFEST festival is a loose continuation of the GRABŠTEJN WORLD FEST festival, which took place for twelve years at Grabštejn Castle near Hrádek nad Nisou.
In 2014, the festival went into a long winter sleep.
In 2018, the Valdštejn Imaginarium team decided to continue the festival tradition again and moved the festival from the Gothic castle to the unique Baroque summer palace of the Valdštejn Loggia in Jičín.

DIRECTOR
Valdštejn Imaginarium is a non-profit organization that seeks to revive the historic building of the Wallenstein Loggia in unusual ways. This is based on the fact that this unique building was never completed. The fact that the Wallenstein project remained in many aspects an unfulfilled dream is a great inspiration to the current team gathered around the monument. For several years now, they have been turning this extraordinarily impressive site into a cultural and community centre that combines live art and unusual ways of learning about history, while becoming an independent creative platform for the city. The Imaginarium's activities have two main components - cultural and historical. The Loggia Worldfest is the culmination of these efforts.
PLACE
The Waldstein Loggia is a unique early Baroque monument near the town of Jičín, built between 1627 and 1632 by Duke Albrecht von Wallenstein. It opens onto the surroundings through massive arcades with a magnificent terrace. It belongs to a larger complex, which today, in addition to the Lodge, also consists of a courtyard with farm buildings and the Libosad Park with a grotto. The whole complex is situated at the foot of the picturesque basalt hill of Zebín. The Lodge is a part of Valdštejn's Baroque composite landscape - an axis that runs through the Jičín basin and connects sacral and secular buildings, landscape landmarks and the town of Jičín into one whole. This line is reinforced by a nearly two-kilometre long four-row linden avenue leading from Jičín to Loggia.
