POESION: Jaromír Typlt
Poet, performer and art theoretician.
Jaromír Typlt (*1973) comes from Nová Paka, to which he is permanently bound by a living connection. Since 2022, he has been the curator of the Art brut Prague gallery. He published his first books of poetry and prose in the 1990s. In September 2024, he will present a selection of notes from 1993-2023 in the form of a book titled Jedna věta (Revolver Revue). Also in the autumn, the Blue Lizard label will release a 'live' recording of a concert celebrating 15 years of Škrábanice, a meeting of Typlt's sound poetry with Michal Rataj's experimental electronics - this new digital album of theirs has already been preceded by two separate studio-recorded albums (2014 and 2020). Typlt is represented in the current international exhibition Poetry and Performance at Prague's Hvězda Summer Palace by a short video and an artist's book created in collaboration with Jan Měřička. He was invited to the Wallenstein Loggia for a separate evening of poetry in the autumn of 2019, but this is the first time is performing at the Lodžie Worldfest.
