AIDA MUJAĆIC (BiH)
Bosnian singer and pianist (Korjen, Trio Bavlna), who covers songs of her homeland, as well as songs of the Balkans and Sephardic Jews.
After classical music education in her native Bosnia and Herzegovina, her music went through a transformation towards modern approaches, traditional music of her homeland, world music and jazz.
Aida Mujaćic was born in the former Yugoslavia, where she experienced the war in the city of Tuzla as a small child in the 90s. Her work is thus based on her experiences and memories of both difficult and beautiful moments in the landscape of her childhood and reflects her relationship with the diverse cultural palette of the Balkans.
